Robyn Wright

Robyn Wright is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who works with adolescents aged 16+ and adults across a broad range of mental health concerns and life difficulties. With 20 years of experience across public and private mental health settings.

Robyn has experience working with complex mental health difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, relationship difficulties and the psychological impacts of high-pressure occupational and performance environments. She has worked with children, adolescents, athletes, adults and parents, as well as first responders and veterans. Her extensive experience with children, adolescents and families has provided her with a strong understanding of development and the ways in which early experiences and relationships can influence emotional wellbeing across the lifespan.

Robyn brings a warm, compassionate and thoughtful approach to therapy. She places particular importance on developing a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, presence, attunement and genuine connection. She prioritises creating a safe, respectful and collaborative space where clients feel heard and understood. Her approach is individualised and collaborative, with therapy tailored to each client's experiences, needs and goals.

She draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based approaches and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Robyn completed a Bachelor of Psychology, Master of Psychology (Sport and Exercise), Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching (Early Years) and Master of Psychology Practice (Clinical Psychology). She is currently completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program and is endorsed as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a Board Approved Supervisor.

Alongside her clinical work, Robyn draws on her background in Sport and Exercise Psychology to support individuals with confidence, resilience, focus, performance and wellbeing in both everyday and competitive environments.

 

Availability

Robyn consults in the practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with appointments available for adolescents aged 16+ and adults.

Session Fees

Robyn's standard session fee is $260 per 50-minute session. Eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan may receive a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per session, subject to Medicare requirements and guidelines.
