Jodie Rodgers

Jodie is an experienced Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of mental health presentations. With more than 15 years of experience as a psychologist, Jodie has a particular interest in attachment, anxiety and associated emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Jodie is passionate about creating a warm, supportive and safe therapeutic environment where clients feel heard and understood. When working with children and adolescents, she places particular importance on giving young people a voice and creating a space where they can comfortably explore their experiences, emotions and current concerns.

Her approach is warm, curious and empathetic, with therapy tailored to each client’s individual needs, developmental stage and therapeutic goals. Jodie believes that a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful change.

Jodie is particularly passionate about early intervention and supporting children and young people experiencing emotional, behavioural and developmental challenges.

Her clinical experience spans individual therapy, school psychology, school-based group programs and crisis support services. Jodie also has experience conducting formal psychological assessments and preparing reports and recommendations relating to the wellbeing and support needs of children and young people through Assessments Australia.

Jodie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual needs, presentation and goals of each client.

Jodie completed a Bachelor of Teaching - Early Childhood at the University of Western Sydney before pursuing further study in psychology. She completed a Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Western Sydney in 2003, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Practice through the Australian College of Applied Psychology, obtaining registration as a psychologist in 2005.

Alongside her clinical work, Jodie is the Director of the practice and brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults across a variety of settings.

Availability

Jodie consults in the practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please note: Jodie  is currently operating with a waitlist for new clients. Enquiries are still welcome for those who would like to discuss joining her waitlist and future appointment availability.

Session Fees

Jodie’s standard session fee is $255. Eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral may receive a Medicare rebate of $101.55, resulting in an out-of-pocket cost of $153.45 per session.
